If you’re trying to control your bodies ability to metabolise fats or sugars for the purpose of reducing your blood glucose then moving regularly is key. Movement raises your heart beat which in turn sends a signal to your body telling it to burn fat, which is essentially stored energy. By using up your body’s energy stores you teach your body to ‘level out’ your insulin reducing your weight. This is a great way to lower you blood glucose count and help you start to feel like yourself again.
